CAIS is an organization of approximately 200 elementary, middle, and secondary schools in California. The Association serves and strengthens its schools by:

  • setting standards of academic quality and ethical conduct

  • facilitating the professional growth of faculty, administrators, and trustees

  • promoting ethnic and socio-economic diversity

The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) is a nonprofit membership association that provides services to more than 1,700 schools and associations of schools in the United States and abroad, including 1,400 independent private K-12 schools in the U.S.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC)

​

The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) extends its services to over 5,000 public, independent, church-related, and proprietary pre-K-12 and adult schools, works with 18 associations in joint accreditation processes, and collaborates with other organizations, such as the California Department of Education (CDE).
