Park Century School empowers bright children with learning differences to reach their academic and personal potential. Students flourish within our individualized, evidence-based curriculum and supportive environment. In collaboration with their families, the school inspires students to develop into resilient self-advocates and builds a foundation for lifelong achievement.

Educational Philosophy

Learning differences are lifelong challenges that affect all aspects of a child and family. Just getting to the diagnosis can be a frustrating and disheartening journey. Children have often been made to feel stupid. Parents come to us feeling broken, anxious, and out of options.

Park Century recognizes that these children are exceptionally bright, and they learn in a different way. They are not broken. They don't need to be fixed. They need to be taught differently to reach their full potential.

Your child has a unique learning DNA, a different learning need - no one method will apply to all. It's about adaptation and discovering what method will unlock your child's learning potential.

Meeting your child where they are

In our specialized education approach, the role of the school and the teacher is unique.

Your child needs educational, emotional, and social assistance. Many also must have help with attention, organization, memory, language, and perceptual-motor function.

PCS teachers meet the ever-changing needs of your child and family. The teacher is the central therapeutic person in your child’s school program, acting as classroom clinicians and parental advisors as well as educational specialists. Their roles may include:

personal contact with consultants
ongoing in-service training
clinical supervision
continued contact with children's educators once they leave PCS
